The Houston Bears is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable and social organization
based in Houston, Texas serving the greater Houston area. Our membership
transcends gender, race, age and ethnicity to include bears, cubs, otters,
admirers and other allies to the Bear Community.

This was an interesting newsletter, usually just a few pages, packed full of information.
Vanessa Foster was Editor for most of this time period.
It appears the newsletter began in 1994. Not sure when the group started.
The organization is still active, though I am not sure how long they
did a newsletter (many groups gradually switched to emails for that)
The group apparently began in September 1994, as the 3rd anniversary
was observed 9/27/97
The newsletters I scanned total almost 200 pages of content.
At this time I do not know when the name was changed to Houston Bears,
but it was after 2005.
