These three: the destruction of Chances, by Robin Blinn, 8/11/11

What's there now?
The Hay Merchant or Georgia James (same owner)?

Underbelly was there until March 2018
google gives all three restaurants for 1100 Westheimer
may have to drive by and check...

That owner also has Blacksmith, across the street, (used to be Mary's)

There seems to be a Chances Bar Tribute Site,
which could use more participation...

And there's a Chances group on Facebook

They displayed these souvenirs...

Didya Know?
Before it was Chances for many years the building held the club Boobie Rock...
and after that The Rendezvous Club (in 1987)

Below, two shots of Boobie Rock in the background of the 1979 Pride Parade.
On the right guys are sitting on Mary's roof across from Boobie Rock

The Rendezvous Club was listed in the TWT Guide from 6/28/85 to 10/4/85;
however I found in the Montrose Voice an ad for 1987, so timespan uncertain
